Pole Tent Rentals – Grass Surface

Our traditional pole tents are a popular choice for graduation parties, weddings, and outdoor celebrations. Featuring elegant peaked roofs, these tents provide a spacious, classic look for events of all sizes.

Frame and High Peak Tent Rentals – Grass, Concrete, Asphalt

Our frame tents are a versatile option for graduation parties, weddings, backyard celebrations, and corporate events. Unlike traditional pole tents, frame tents have no center poles, giving you more open space for tables, chairs, and guests.

Frame tents can be installed on grass, concrete, asphalt, and other suitable level surfaces. Grass installations are typically secured with stakes, while hard-surface installations require an appropriate anchoring system, such as water barrels.

What size tent do I need for my event?

For example, a 20′ × 20′ tent can typically accommodate approximately 32 guests seated at tables, while a 20′ × 40′ tent can accommodate approximately 64–80 guests, depending on the table arrangement and tent style.

Frame tents use a metal framework to support the canopy without interior center poles, providing more open space for tables, chairs, and event activities. They also offer greater flexibility for installation on grass, concrete, asphalt, and other suitable surfaces.

Can a tent be installed on concrete, asphalt, or a driveway?

Yes! Total Party Planning offers frame tents that can be installed on suitable hard surfaces, including concrete, asphalt, and driveways. These installations typically require alternative anchoring methods, such as water barrels, rather than traditional ground stakes.

Pole tents generally require a grass surface for staking. However, installation on asphalt may be possible with our additional drilling service.

When will my tent be delivered and picked up?

For most residential and venue rentals, we typically deliver and install your tent 1-2 days before your event and return for removal 1-2 days after your event.

Approximately 1–2 weeks before your event, our team will contact you with a scheduled three-hour delivery window.

Events held at public parks or locations with specific access restrictions may require same-day delivery and pickup, which can involve additional fees.

Our goal is to have your tent ready well before your celebration begins so you can focus on enjoying your event.

Do you offer long-term tent rentals?

Yes! Total Party Planning offers long-term tent rentals for businesses, construction projects, seasonal events, outdoor dining areas, and other temporary space needs throughout Southeast Michigan.

Whether you need a tent for several weeks or multiple months, we can discuss rental options based on the tent size, installation location, and duration of use.

Please note that long-term tent installations, particularly those used for business purposes, may require permits, inspections, or approval from the local municipality. Customers are responsible for verifying and obtaining any required permits or approvals.

What happens if it rains or there is severe weather?

Our rental tents provide shelter from typical rain and sun, helping keep your outdoor celebration comfortable. However, tents are temporary structures and should not be considered safe shelter during severe weather.

In the event of thunderstorms, lightning, high winds, or other dangerous conditions, guests should move to a permanent, enclosed building or another appropriate safe location.

Severe weather may also affect installation or removal schedules. If conditions become unsafe, our team may need to adjust the schedule to protect our customers and employees.

How far in advance should I reserve a tent?

We recommend reserving your tent as early as possible, especially for weddings, graduation parties, and events taking place during the busy summer and fall seasons.

Popular tent sizes and peak weekends can book quickly. Reserving early gives you the best selection of available tents and allows more time to coordinate your event details.

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation. If your event is approaching, feel free to contact us to check availability. We may still have options for your date.
